Do you have your own equipment? You can launch your own personal equipment at Bawsey Bay Watersports during certain times.
We have x2 self-launch sessions available on Sundays starting at either 10am and 12pm,
Self Launch is two hours in duration.
Thursday evening sessions start at 17:00 until 20:00
This is a supervised session with the appropriate safety cover in place.

Self Launch Requirements
Customers launching their own craft must book a launch permit online and complete the waiver/medical form.
Customers must also be competent in the use of the equipment in the conditions they are using it in. Please note, self launch is only available at organised times. If you launch personal equipment during other times you will be asked to exit the water.
- Wear buoyancy aids at all times while on the water
- To hold personal 3rd party liability insurance (see below)

You can obtain personal insurance for kayaking and paddleboarding through the British Canoe Union - https://members.britishcanoeing.org.uk/
Prices for the self-launch session are as follows, please check the requirements before booking.
SUP / Kayak - £10 per craft
Windsurf - £20 per rig
Sailing Boat - £20 per boat
Buoyancy aid hire is £5
Wetsuit hire is £5
