Our stand up paddleboarding introductory taster sessions cover learn all the basics to make you feel safe and become independent paddlers on the water,
Paddleboarding (SUP) is accessible to everyone, it has never been easier to get on the water and learn a new skill It also has many benefits including improving your fitness, well-being, and mental health, watersports is notorious for meeting new people, socialising while being outside in the fresh air.
At Bawsey Bay we offer two hour paddleboard taster sessions along with SUP rentals and open paddle sessions where you can bring your own equipment along (during set times)

Whether you want to paddle a 'Sit on Top' kayak or a Canadian canoe, alone or with friends and family, Bawsey Bay Watersports is the ideal setting for you to get out on the water in a safe environment.
Norfolk Kayak and Canoe Hire
At Bawsey Bay Watersports, we offer single kayak and double (two-man) kayak rentals, as well as our brand-new 16-foot Canadian canoes. With our wide selection of vessels, you can find the perfect one to suit your needs and explore the stunning scenery of Bawsey Estate and Country Park.
Kayaking Lessons at Bawsey Bay Watersports
Are you a novice kayaker or looking to refine your technique? Come join us for a two-hour introductory kayaking experience and explore the wonders of the sport while paddling around the lake with a certified instructor! With Bawsey Bay Watersports' fun and exciting activities, we will ensure you get the most out of your kayaking experience
Experience Required: Some experience is preferred but not essential.
Duration: Hire by the hour
Cost: Single Kayak £20ph / Double Kayak £30ph
Minimum Age: Under 18s need to be accompanied by an adult (either in the same or a separate kayak/boat)
All equipment provided including buoyancy aids & wetsuits.

Kayak Rentals at Bawsey Bay

Max Capacity: 2 adults + 1 child

Take a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and explore the tranquil waters of Bawsey Country Park with a Canadian Canoe. Perfect for both children and adults, canoeing is an incredibly accessible sport that allows you to immerse yourself in nature and create lasting memories with your family. Don't forget to pack your lunch and find a secluded spot to enjoy your experience!

Canadian Canoe Hire in Norfolk
If you have your own kayak/equipment you can come and launch at the lake only at certain times
We have two self-launch sessions on Sundays starting at either
10:00 until 12:00
12:00 until 14:00
Self Launch is two hours in duration.
Thursday evening sessions start at 17:00 until 20:00
Everyone using their own craft must be competent in it’s use and in the conditions on the day.
All launch sessions need to be pre-booked online and certain criteria must be adhered to.
